About the role:

We're on the hunt for a brilliant midweight Creative who thinks earned-first but can push ideas into broader channels too. You'll join a cracking team of creatives, planners, data analysts and designers, developing ideas for great brands and businesses across the UK and around our global network.

We're looking for someone who is a great human being, loves what they do, has been in a creative agency role for a few years and has a proven track record of developing and delivering creative campaigns that have delivered real impact for a broad spectrum of clients.You'll be a self-motivated individual, with a curiosity for the world around you, who can inspire and engage the rest of the team,

As a midweight Creative, you'll have a strong skillset across earned-first creative. You'll bring innovative, exciting & surprising conceptual thinking to the table and will be confident in directing executional excellence across film, photography, copywriting.

You will sit as part of a core creative and strategy centralised team, called IGNITE which supports the entire Grayling agency, globally. The team is about 20 people strong and includes Data Analysts, Planners, Creatives, Social + Digital experts and a design studio.

As part of a central team, you will work across the agency's portfolio of clients, which includes consumer brands, corporate, public affairs and health briefs, working alongside the planners to develop powerful creative campaigns that speak to multiple audiences and stakeholder groups. Whilst the core team and this role is based in London you will get to work on briefs and clients across the network which includes 9 offices in the UK, 25 in Europe and a further 20 offices across the globe including the USA and APAC.


The day to day

  • Developing, pitching and selling outstanding creative ideas and campaigns that punch above their weight in media but can also live and breathe in multiple channels including social, digital, internal comms and on occasions, ATL
  • Regularly debriefing, discussing and presenting ground breaking concepts both with internal teams and clients in a simple to understand and friendly manner.
  • Working on scripts when necessary, crafting powerful stories that engage our audiences
  • Working with a wider team of skillsets such as strategy, data analysts and design
  • Developing the creative campaigns into production. Working closely with external and internal production teams to craft the content
  • Owning the creative direction of projects, in collaboration with other senior stakeholders.
  • Partnering with our Creative Director and Head of Studio in developing and delivering innovative proposals for new business opportunities.
  • Working independently but also collaboratively with Social Media & PR teams, ensuring ideas are maintained at the highest standards in a channel agnostic environment.
  • Guiding clients ambition in close and respectful collaboration, producing smart strategical decks that are in line with the brand's objectives and vision.
  • Having your finger on the pulse of current trends in the world of art / fashion / creativity / culture and bring that information and enthusiasm for popular culture into the studio every day.
